I have found a quick meal of Barbeque Chicken Wagon Wheels to put together on those nights when the fridge seems barren. It is a variation of a recipe I used to cook at Pampered Chef shows. A few ingredients are all it takes
to put this meal together for a quick and fun meal.
About 1 1/2 or 2 cups of cut-up chicken, we had a rotisserie, I usually keep a few portioned bags in the freezer.
1 loaf of refrigerated French loaf or pizza dough
1 cup of shredded cheese of your choice, we used sharp cheddar
we added parsley for color
First, roll out the dough on a rectangular pan. Next, spread on some BBQ sauce out to the edges.
Then, sprinkle the chicken and cheese all over.
Grant likes to add parsley from the garden. At this age is enjoys having a small planter garden.
Finally, start at one end and roll it up, then slice it into wagon wheels, about 1 or 1/12 inches wide.
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or until golden brown!
The good news is that this is a TOTAL kid prepared, quick meal! Add a salad or veggie and your good.
This is a fantastic quick meal to prepare on busy nights.
