Join Holly Giles to learn the secrets to a stocked kitchen, food storage,  preserving seasonal items and being prepared for events that impact your life.

Classes will take place in a home kitchen for a hands-on experience. Choose one of the days or both!  Opt in for our Farm to Table dinner experience on Friday night. Location: Debary, FL Lodging options available.

Day 1    Friday, October 14th  12:00pm - 4:30pm

Tastings, topics manual and take home samples are included in day one.

Basic Food Storage

Learn how to store food for cooking, baking and everyday use. How to store like items and timeline of storage. Also, discover how to gather and store food for your family for a one month supply.

Maximizing Food Purchases

How can you make your food go further? Package food according to your family's use. Mix, cut, freeze and store ahead to keep your budget on track.

Kitchen Gadgets and Recipes

Discover how to use kitchen tools you have already to the best benefit and what tools should be on your list to add to your kitchen for years of use to preserve food.

Day 2   Saturday, October 15  10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Bread and Jam! We will discover how easy homemade bread, quick bread and a simple focaccia can be and how to store it. Basic water bath canning will be taught along with making jam to take home. This will be hands-on with all recipes and manual.

Best Practices for Fresh

Which seasonal foods work best frozen, canned or dried? Learn current methods.

From Scratch Breads

Bake from scratch recipes to sample and fit your families needs. How to store bread.

For generations my family has enjoyed Florida grown food. My grandmothers poured their lifetime of southern traditions and food knowledge into me gradually as I grew up. Now, I enjoy helping other women find success in the basics of southern style pantries with modern conveniences.

The goal of this event is to introduce and enhance basic methods and ideas to start making changes in your kitchen. 

You can and preserve food like a pro

This event will go over basics for beginners and walk through the history and safety of canning. Teaching safe and modern methods with simple recipes for beginners.

You are already a budget master and foodie expert

This event will go over using your current shopping list and how we can maximize the use of the food you already buy. Also, review recipes to add that use leftovers in several ways, add from-scratch ideas and provide basic supplies for storage.

This is a women only event. Please no children. Fees are per person.
