We will dive into different ways to become a naturalist in your own backyard. This session will be about birds. How to attract them, differences in them, what they eat and locating them. This class will use some of the guidelines of the National Wildlife Federation’s Garden for Life program and Florida Wildlife Commission’s Project Wild. We do hands-on activities, get up close to nature and have projects to extend your study at home.
Students will learn about wings and feathers, flight, nesting, and how to locate signs of nesting and activity with a nature walk. Each student will receive personalized take-home essentials to keep the curiosity going.
