Join us for a guided nature hike in Seminole Forest. Learn tracking skills for wildlife, tree and plant identification and geocaching with a GPS device. We will begin with a talk by the Forestry Service and end with a gathering at our campsite around the fire for a treat. On our way out we will fish at our favorite spot.
Parents are required to join us in the forest. You are welcome to join in the activities or hang back at camp with non-participating children.
What to bring:
Folding chair or blanket, towel
bug spray, we recommend a product with Deet.
closed-toe shoes and old clothes.
water and snack/lunch.
There is a portable toilet at the campsite.
All other supplies will be provided.
NOTE: There is a $2 per person charge to enter the state forest. We will carpool to our class spot from the main parking lot.
Children must be 8 years old or older to participate in class. A liability waiver must be signed.
