I saw a replica of this project for sale at a popular store. I was so tempted to buy them because I fell in love with them at first sight. As I looked them over, I realized it would be so easy to make for a fraction of the cost and my boys could help out too.
Items you will need:
- A sheet of cork or on a roll
- wide mouth jar lids and rings (regular size limits cups that will fit)
- stamps
- stamp pads
- craft style glue (hot glue does not work, it pops off)
Use the lid as a guide to trace out circles on the cork. Cut cork and stamp your design. Glue cork to the lid, then glue the lid to the ring.
I gave four coasters per gift.
